It’s springtime, and the world is bursting with color! I recently took a stroll around my neighborhood, capturing the vibrant blooms and playful moments with my roommate’s cat. The combination of cherry blossoms 🌸 and feline antics 😼 made for a delightful photo session.
Kodak Portra 400 shot on Nikon FE#
with AF Nikkor 28-105mm f/3.5-4.5D and Nikkor AI-s 50mm f/1.4
The gold standard for color negative film, known for its fine grain and excellent skin tones. It captures the warmth of spring beautifully.

Fujifilm 400 shot on Pentax 17#
A versatile color negative film that excels in various lighting conditions, providing a slightly different color palette compared to Portra.

Fujifilm 200 shot on Nikon FE#
with AF Nikkor 28-105mm f/3.5-4.5D and Nikkor AI-s 50mm f/1.4
A more budget-friendly option that still delivers ok results in bright daylight. The scans came out a bit yellowish, reminiscent of Kodak Gold 200. I wouldn’t say it’s a bad film, but I don’t recommend it.
